While most Government restrictions have now lifted, EPIC.LAN and Kettering Conference Centre still have a responsibility to manage the event safely and to minimise the risk of infection spread during its event, and some of the measures that have been created as a result of COVID probably should have been a thing at events before...

The following event policies are subject to change based on any changes in local and national Goverment guidance at the time of the event.

COVID Passes

As COVID passes and free testing are due to come to an end from 1 April, we will no longer have a mechanism for people to demonstrate either COVID immunity or clear test status, therefore the COVID pass will not be required for this event unless it is re-introduced by the government closer to the time due to any new strains or outbreaks in which case we do reserve the right to use it for the event if required of us.

Check In & Arrival Times

As this event takes place in the "old" conference layout, we have much more space available to us for early check-in and therefore will not have a staggered entry requirement for the event as long as the UK's current COVID safety levels remain as they are.

Spectator Tickets

We do reserve the right to cap spectator tickets to ensure a safe number of people on site which is linked to the ventilation rating of the rooms in use, this may mean that tickets are only available to purchase in advance.

Social Distancing

There is no formal social distance rule but we would encourage everyone to be sensible and respectful with space, especially those you do not know who may want you to keep a distance from them. When in queues around the venue or at the bar, shop or catering please respect those around you and keep a safe distance back.

Indoor Sleeping

We hope to re-introduce limited indoor sleeping in dedicated rooms only (not in the gaming rooms). We are currently discussing the space available with the venue and will confirm this capacity shortly.

Outdoor camping in tents remains available along with local hotel options.

Masks are no longer be compulsory in England, but we ask everyone to be respectful of others' decisions around mask wearing.

Hand Sanitiser

There will be plenty of hand sanitiser stations around the venue, please use them frequently as well as thorough hand washing throughout the day.

Physical Contact

Respect that not everybody will be ready to hand shake or hug. Minimise contact with those you do not know and stick with fist bumps. Make sure you only use your own equipment where possible, if you do have to use any other equipment or shared equipment, please sanitise your hands before and after use.

Shop, Bar & Catering Payments

To be confirmed.

If you are unwell before the event

Just as you would have done before, we would ask people to be sensible and if feeling unwell or potentially contagious, please don't attend the event.

We may have to keep doors/windows open or air circulation/handling turned up high to meet government guidelines, this could result in the rooms being colder than normal, please make sure you have things like jumpers/hoodies to keep warm if needed.
