Sometimes the events industry really does push us to our limits...but at least this time we have a Plan B! 

This is about as close to a political statement as we'll ever make, but what happens if a General Election lands at the same time as EPIC43? 

What has a General Election got to do with a LAN event you may say?

Kettering Leisure Village is one of the largest indoor spaces in the area, and as such it has a contract with the Local Council to be used as an election count venue. This contract overrides any existing bookings, which is a bit crazy if you ask us, but I guess democracy must go on. 

Anyway, as the end of the current fixed term of parliament creeps to an end, statistically the likelihood of the election falling around our October event is increasing.

We have met with the KLV management today to make sure we have a clear alternative available and want to make that known now while people are thinking about dates for later in the year. Because we're pretty determined not to cancel any more events! 

• The current planned date for EPIC43 is Thursday 24 - Sunday 27 October. 
• If a General Election is called and takes place in that week, the event will move back one week to Thursday 31 October - Sunday 3 November.

Naturally we would always recommend booking any travel/hotel options with flexibility should any sort of unforseen circumstances arise, we've seen enough of those over the past few years as it is, seems like 2024 is not going to be any different! 

Of course we will continue to keep people updated if we hear any more, but right now there's probably only one person in the country who knows when it will be!
