epic.TEN - Quiz Results

Thanks again to everyone that took part in the pub quiz at epic.TEN! It's always a highlight for us, both creating it and watching the puzzled looks on some of your faces! As per usual, we're sharing the points breakdown for each team and each round.

We've had to drop the round names from the header row as it just won't fit on the page. Below the table, there's a reference as to what each round title was.

epic.TEAM does the bit-tech pub quiz!

The guys over at bit-tech put on their first ever pub quiz last week in London and in true freebie-ninja style, Inferno arranged for a contingent of us to attend. It was insanely difficult - I'm sure we could set the epic.QUIZ to "Expert" and still not be as hard!! After plugging through the inital rounds (of beer) we managed to pull ahead of the pack, thanks mainly to Inferno's logo knowledge, establishing ourselves as targets. It was going great until the, now infamous, "retro-tech" round in which we managed 2/10 and thought we really had lost our place on the podium. Only JoeShow's knowledge of game maps and my knowledge of TLAs in the final rounds clinched us the victory (with a hefty dose of luck!).

It was a brilliant night and we just wanted to say a big thanks to Corsair for supplying the prizes (Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset, Corsair K60 keyboard and Corsair M60 mouse) and to bit-tech for organising the evening in addition to providing a celebratory cheesecake and golden trophy!

Next time they put on a quiz, we'll let you know. Hopefully we can field a couple of teams and besides, it gives us a good excuse to drink on a school night!

(L-R: JoeShow, Inferno, Saboo, Flash)

epic.Quiz Results

Saturday night is always a great laugh at epic.LAN with the epic.Quiz that takes place in our Hall 1 bar. As always, we release the results and rankings so that you can see how little you really know about current affairs or the extent of your gaming theme tunes expertise!

A big congratulations to "Rupert Murdoch says he is touched by all the messages left on Amy Winhouse's answerphone" who have re-taken the crown.

We had 9 teams participate with a total of 51 participants resulting in a prize pot of £51 split:

  • £38.25 (Winner)
  • £12.75 (Runner-Up)
