OVERCLOCKERS UK RENEWS AS EPIC.LAN RETAIL PARTNER FOR 2024

After EPIC.LAN celebrated 20 years of running community LAN events last year, four of those partnered with Overclockers UK, the two organisations have announced a renewal of their partnership for 2024 for the fifth consecutive year.

Despite the challenges facing the gaming and esports industry last year, including EPIC.LAN having to find new home temporarily due to the (now aborted) closure of its regular Kettering venue, the UK events organiser continued to go from strength to strength hosting three main events and building on its series of smaller boutique events including LUX and Tabletop versions. Much of this success is down to EPIC.LAN’s community-first approach and its strong partnerships with key brands such as Stoke-on-Trent based Overclockers UK.

The renewed partnership will continue to have a focus on EPIC.LAN’s physical events as well as its online community throughout the year with demonstrations and content at the three main LAN events, giveaways online and at events as well as bringing EPIC.LAN’s other partners together with retail offers through a dedicated landing page for EPIC.LAN’s community members.

Overclockers UK will also continue as the official chair partner for the event, showcasing the range of noblechairs, Nitro Concepts and ThunderX3 products on stage and streams.

Jon Winkle, EPIC.LAN Managing Director, commented “The Overclockers partnership is really important to us here at EPIC.LAN, especially as a local business. Personally, I’ve been a customer since they set up their first premises in Stoke-on-Trent in the 2000s and seeing their expansion in 2023 was a great moment for the area. Seeing this iconic name for gaming retail alongside EPIC.LAN makes us all really proud to be working together for the fifth year.”

Gareth Johnson, Head of Digital for Overclockers UK, added “We’re thrilled to be working with EPIC.LAN for another year, who continue to fly the flag for and be a cornerstone of gaming and esports in the UK. We can’t wait to support Jon and the team as they take the EPIC.LAN events from strength to strength, putting on an event that’s even bigger and better than the last, and finding new ways to bring the community together.“

EPIC41 takes place at Kettering Conference Centre from 22-25 February. Information on the event, as well as tickets for the event can be found at www.epiclan.co.uk
