SpecialEffect's GameBlast23 lands on the EPIC38 weekend - we have loads of ways you can get involved and help raise money for this amazing cause!

All throughout EPIC38, staff will be working hard to raise money for GameBlast23, through stage content, giveaways, donations and Pub Quiz. You will notice donation buckets around LAN, as well as various opportunities to get involved in the fundraising. Here's some of the things to keep an eye on at the event -

Pub Quiz

Pub Quiz has always been one of the biggest and brightest moments of our events. During EPIC38's Pub Quiz, all team entry fees will be added to our overall donation for the weekend. Teams can also give extra donations, as well use the SpecialEffect buckets around the quiz.

We also have some exciting announcements for Pub Quiz, including a free drink voucher for all participants!

Raffle

For EPIC38, we are pleased to announced an amazing prize for our GameBlast23 raffle. In partnership with Intel, we have streamer, cosplayer and regular EPIC attendee BillieTrixx's custom built gaming PC from the Great PC Build Off. Built with some of the top specs on the market, Billie handpicked every part of this PC as part of the challenge, and built it herself. Including an RTX 3070Ti GPU and a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700k, Billie's PC will set you up to win every EPIC event for years to come. Stage Shows

We have a great schedule of new and engaging content for EPIC38, and we cannot wait to share some amazing moments with you all. Our hosts and production team will be working hard across the weekend to make sure all the stage shows are fantastic, and with them will come various oppportunities to get involved and raise money for GameBlast23. Want to mess with players in Cuphead? Well be sure to check out Crowd Control on Friday at 12:15pm, where you can affect the progess of our willing volunteers. This is just one of the ways you can be involved in stage content, while raising money for a great cause.

Milestones

As we hit each donation milestone, we have a few "rewards" lined up to help nudge progress along:

• £100 - An easy warmup involving a German digestif made up of 56 herbs and spices from a distinctive angular green bottle
• £250 - Reapersteve recreates another terrible TikTok dance
• £500 - Return of the spicy jellybeans for the current show hosts
• £750 - Geo re-enacts TikTok belly guy
• £1000 - DutyHero has to speak with an accent chosen by the team for the rest of the day
• £1500 - Reech gets renamed for the rest of the event and everyone has to refer to him by that name
• £2000 - Gumpster Paradise (who remembers that time when Gump gave us his 'angelic' Coldplay rendition, nobody? Well it's time to bring back those nightmares)
• £2500 - Some of our hosts temporarily dye their hair in SpecialEffect colours
• £3000 - Duty dresses up for the rest of the LAN
• £4000 - ReaperSteve shaves his beard
• £5000 - Challenge the current Intel Community Champion at a 1on1 game of your choice, if you win, you dethrone the champ and win the belt for the rest of the event.
