New Forums Coming Soon

New ForumsWe know the wait has been almost as long as it was for Duke Nukem: Forever, but we can assure you that it won't be anywhere near as disappointing!

The team has been working away getting our new forums ready, using the IPB platform, and we plan to go live this Wednesday 15th August. One of the things that's taken us some time is to ensure that we bring over all of the content from the old forums, so we don't lose our history. The only thing we haven't been able to migrate is the PM system, so make sure you've saved any PMs you want to keep.

The current forums will go offline around 6pm on the Wednesday and we aim to bring the new ones online around 9/10pm. Naturally there may be some teething problems when we go live, despite all of our testing, so please do bear with us!

We can't wait to bring you the new forums and all the new features they will bring!

Future Forum Changes

Forum ChangesSadly it's going to be time to put phpbb2 to bed soon. While it's done its job for the first couple of years of epic, with our growing community and the aging forum software, we've decided to move away to something more suitable and powerful for our needs.

It's quite a major project for us to both integrate a new forum solution into our systems (e.g. single sign-on) and also to migrate all of the current forum data over to the new system as we don't want to lose any of the existing posts, so you aren't likely to see any changes for a few months.

However, we're looking for your feedback and suggestions on features you would like to see on the new forums. Whether that's how they are currently laid out and whether there are new categories you would like to see, or features like reputation management, social media integration etc.

So let us know what you think, we can't promise to meet every request, but now is a good time to let us know what you'd like!
