Red Nose Day 09 falls right in the middle of epic.ONE, so we've decided to run a few activities to raise some funds for the good cause both during the event and in the run up online.

Some of the things will include optional entrance fees to some of the activities we're running already where the money goes to the charity, if you don't want to donate it won't stop you joining in.

We'll also be running a few specific activities on the day that we'll be revealling over coming weeks. The first is our Open Mic Session that will be taking place as some extra entertainment on Friday evening while everyone is in Fancy Dress.

Make sure you all buy a Red Nose too for the event, it would be good to try to get a photo with 100 gamers all at their PCs in red noses!

Friday night is Curry Night at epic.ONE! We'll be bringing in the fantastic team from Hannah Restaurant to provide a buffet-style meal for everyone to enjoy. The team at the family-run restaurant, based in Whitchurch, are no strangers to event catering with their very popular stand that provides food to the masses at some of the best Food & Drink Festivals in the North-West.

The meal costs a mere £7 and you can book this in advance when you book your place for epic.ONE. If you've already paid for your place at epic.ONE then you can go back into your services and add the meal, or you can pay for it on the day.

Cost: £45 Participant, £5/day spectator

We have a few new activities lined up for this event including:
•    Friday Morning - Treasure Hunt - Follow the clues on the intranet and around the building to lead you to the prize. More information...
•    Saturday Evening - Pub Quiz - Form teams of up to 5 people, each putting in a few £s to join in our new pub quiz with the winning team taking the proceeds. More information...
•    Achievements - The event team will be watching out for people doing certain things which will award Steam-style achievements to be totalled up by the end of the event.

epic.LAN is here to bring the fun back to LAN gaming, after all most of us attended our first LAN party to enjoy fun games in a social environment. 

The team behind epic.LAN has over 6 years of experience delivering gaming events for both social and competitive gamers as well as a wide industry experience. The team are also avid gamers themselves and you will often see them on online servers as well as visiting LAN events worldwide to look at what works best for our home LANs. 

With a fresh start, we have a fantastic opportunity to try out some new ideas for the events, all of which are aimed at relaxing the atmosphere and increasing the enjoyment. 

Initially we're going to put our efforts into running two events per year for around 100 people, details of the first event can be found by following the navigation above. Some of the things that you'll find at epic.ONE include:

• epic.Games - Various big games will go up through the day that you're free to join and play along in.
• epic.Tournaments - Nothing serious, no prizes, just honour, pride etc. Some of these fun tournaments won't even be on computers!
• epic.Tunes - Throughout the day and evening (not while people are sleeping) we'll get some tunes on the go to give ++ atmosphere
• epic.Quiz - Join with teams of up to 5 people for a chance to win in our quiz. Everyone throws in a few pounds and the winning teams take the prize.
• epic.Hunt - Follow the clues around the venue to pick up a prize.
• epic.Achievements - Certain things that you do at the event will give achievements which will be added up at the end of the event.
• Not to mention all of the usual things you would expect to find such as consoles, social/chill-out area, licensed bar, pool tables etc.

We're currently working on full functionality for the site including a new booking system, but in the mean time if you so desperately want to secure your place at this first epic event then there is information on the epic.ONE page.
