The 2011 epic.LAN survey is now available for you to complete. The results of the survey will be used to help us plan our future events and community activities.
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a draw to win one of three £10 epic.LAN vouchers to use on a future event.
The survey will remain open until Saturday 22nd October. Don't forget there is also the opportunity to give your feedback at our epic.SEVEN community workshops.

The tournament needs no introduction, it has been a tried and tested favourite at many previous epic.LAN events.
We fill a server with people who want to play on a first-come-first-served basis and kick off an deathmatch map with a time limit of 5mins and a frag limit of 100. As soon as either of those limits are reached we kick-ban the bottom few players and move onto the next map until we're left with the best of the best, who will take part in the Final on the Sunday!
Once again this is a solo tournament, so you don't need to worry about finding teams, just sign up at the event to take part!
Think you can be the next Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button?
Well now is your chance to shine through and prove youreslf as the ultimate racing king with our F1 2011 tournament.
This seems like the ideal racing tournament to host at epic.SEVEN with such a big Formula 1 following in the community. However do not fear if you have yet to get the game as you can pick it up for just £19.99!
Not yet booked for epic.SEVEN? Want to attend and take part in this tournament? Make the most of payday and book now!

We are pleased to annouce ‘Fright Night’, a themed night dedicated to all things that go bump in the night, with spooky music, hellish games and devilish fun!
On the Friday at epic.SEVEN we will be transforming the Gaming hall into the undead’s idea of paradise. The spooky games we will be playing include CSS Zombie mod, ScreamFortress 2, and The Hidden. Fancy dress is optional, but may win you a little prize!
With this annouced and the full timetable expected later this week, now's the perfect time to book your seat and ensure that you don’t miss out on what will surely be an epic.LAN!
Some time ago we announced that we would be moving our forums away from PHPBB2 and on to a new system. We can now confirm that the forums will be hosted using Invision Power Board (IPB), a platform that many of you will have seen on sites such as autosport.com and neowin.net.
Work is still ongoing to integrate the new forums into our website and ensure that we migrate as much data as possible. We'll also announce more details about some of the IPB features we'll be using over coming weeks.
All of your accounts and forum posts will be moved over to the new platform, however we are unable to get the Private Messaging data to transfer over due to the age of current system.
We'll give you plenty of notice before the actual switchover, but in the mean time if you have any useful info you need to keep from your PM history, then you may want to back it up locally before we do move over.
In 2010 we hosted a number of community workshops which gave people an opportunity to discuss epic.LAN's development with the management team and hear about some of our plans for the future.
Out of those workshops came features such as our advanced profiles, loyalty scheme and referral scheme; they also gave an opportunity to discuss the introduction of our new tournaments.
The workshops will be back again at epic.SEVEN, and will be open to any of the event participants. We would encourage you to join in and have your say about what we do next and for us get your feedback on where we go in the future.
We've had a number of recent changes to the epic.LAN staff team due to holidays and other committments.
Firstly, Saboo will be stepping down as our event team leader due to work committments and Hg will take place leading that team from epic.SEVEN onwards.
We also welcome the familiar faces of Matthab, Raz and Rizzo to the event team for the next event. We are currently working on our COD4 team too and hope to be able to announce details shortly.
Good luck to Hg and all of the new members of the team!
We've been asking around the current community and the competitive scene trying to find a new tournament game to introduce to epic.LAN and we've had loads of emails and requests to add Call of Duty 4 in to our tournament series.
So, we're going to deliver for epic.SEVEN with our first £1000 Call of Duty 4 tournament!
Our little LAN, elite5 in November, sold out in just over 48 hours earlier this week! Our epic.lite events, are smaller community gatherings, with just 32 places and always extremely popular.
If you missed out, but still want to attend, you can either:
In the mean time, we still have plenty of spaces left for our September Alton Towers Trip and our last main event of the year, epic.SEVEN at the end of October.
Well we're finally rid of Nivek, we've dispatched him off to Germany for Gamescom for a look around to see what's up and coming in the gaming world and to get some ideas for our future events.
Do you think he realised they were one-way tickets...? Ahh, where is the love!
Anyway, have a read of his day one (but actually day three) diary!
