So epic.SEVEN is now in full swing here at Uttoxeter Racecourse. Build went really well with no major issues and we we're finished well in time for the open at 4pm! Bang on four we had a queue of eager LAN goers ready to get the weekend underway! As the evening went on we had our usual big games and Opening Ceremony to get everyone welcomed into the LAN, during which Joe Styrka (more commonly known as JoeShow) From Gamer FM had his legs (and parts of his torso) waxed for charity. Kamikaze and Squirrel applied the wax strips while members of the community took it in turns to tear off a strip causing Joe some considerable discomfort! It's all for charity though and he was laughing at the end!
You can still donate to Joe's Just Giving page here!
After the Opening Ceremony the big games continued into the night and the LAN got into full swing we even had a fire display by UKTamo out on the terrace which was impressive and something we've not seen at epic.LAN before!
All images from build and day one can be seen on our facebook page or our galleries.
Please help us to speed up the check-in process and keep the queues down by doing the following:
If you are planning on spectating the event or you have visitors coming to see you, please create a spectator booking on the system in advance, it's still fine to pay on the door, but will save time on the day.
Remember, the doors open at 4pm, if you arrive any earlier we'll have to ask you to wait outside or in the Railway Bar sleeping area.
And on another note, please make sure you update your games before you attend to help us save bandwidth at the event.
See you in a few days!
One of the social highlights of our events is the pub quiz, and it makes a welcome return on the Saturday night of epic.SEVEN. As a sneak preview, we can now confirm some of the round topics:

The epic.SEVEN seating plan will be locked down this evening (14th October). This is to allow us to finalise seating arrangements for the event as well as confirming numbers for table/seating hire with our suppliers. From this point we may also 'defragment' the seating arrangements to minimise the number of empty rows, please ensure that you share a clan tag with people who you wish to remain sat by to ensure that you are not split up during any required moves.
Those who have not yet selected a seat will still be able to do so, but people who are already in a seat will not be able to move after the lockdown.
If you have any urgent last minute seating changes after the lockdown then please contact us.
Some of our participants will be running a Build Your Own Track (BYOT) - Trackmania Tournament and in return, you could win 50% off your next epic.LAN ticket.
Once the tracks have been built, you'll have the opportunity to race on them and vote for the best track at the event.

Our epic.SEVEN schedule is now complete and available to view on our timetable page. We have loads going on to keep you busy for the event, from big games to fun tournaments, live DJ sets, social activities and more...

After the huge success of the Goldeneye Tournament @ epic.SIX it seemed only right to bring back the Nintendo 64 but this time play that game's spiritual successor Perfect Dark at epic.SEVEN
The tournament will take the form as per the last Goldeneye Tournament, a classic vanilla 4 player split screen deathmatch on the projector with the highest scoring player going straight through to the final.
We anticipate this being a 16 player tournament but we'll increase the number of places if appropriate.
The final will then be played on Sunday
