So What Is It?

We've all missed events so much, we've decided to launch a new one! Introducing the EPIC.LAN Tabletop Edition.

This event is something we've wanted to try for some time, but the whole global pandemic thing slowed us down. But after we found a new venue for our July event, one thing led to another and we've decided to launch our pilot tabletop event at our Coventry outpost this August.

Our plan for the pilot event is to create something with the same atmosphere you'd come to expect from us here at EPIC.LAN, but dedicated to fans of all things tabletop, whether that's board and card games, dice games, DnD and other RPG and more.

It's a casual gaming weekend with tabletop games at the heart of it, it's absolutely not an expo (there's already a great one in July at the UK Games Expo). We'll still have our boardgames area at the normal EPIC.LAN events too from October.

The event will run from Friday 27 August to Sunday 29 August at the DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry, that's the August Bank Holiday weekend so you can take the Monday off to recover too.

Like with our LAN events, they'll run right through the night so you can play as late as you like if you're right in the middle of a hardcore session, the gaming hall won't technically close. Then at the end of the night, you can walk to your room right there in the same building at a heavily discounted rate and grab a full breakfast the next morning before kicking off a new session.

In general the event will be a mixture of open and scheduled play sessions with options to pre-book or join in free spaces on the day. If you want to run any demonstrations or book out tables for specific games, we'll have those options available too. We're also going to be running a live stream programme of our feature table throughout the event to bring the event to more people online.

There will be weekend and day tickets available from our website shortly along with accommodation details. In the mean time, check out the new socials and Discord for the dedicated event:
